HighBall Halloween is one of the most highly anticipated Halloween events in Ohio. The festivities take place directly on High Street in the blocks connecting the famed Short North Arts District to the Arena District and Downtown Columbus.
The most talked about Halloween event in the Midwest, the event includes electrifying stage shows, intriguing street performances, public costume contests, and more! The event's centerpiece, the Costume Couture Fashion Showdown, combines fantasy, fashion, and Halloween into one incredible show, featuring local and national costume designers.
The two-day event has a price tag of $5 and proceeds go to support the Short North Alliance, a non-profit organization that serves both property owners and business owners of the Shorts North Art District. Proceeds help the SNA initiatives such as holiday campaigns, public art installations, and parking management.
Since its establishment in 2008, HighBall has grown with both local and national attention from publications such as The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Business First, Columbus alive!, The Toronto Sun, and Columbus Underground. In 2013, FOX News called HighBall "the single most elaborate Halloween event in the country."
