The Maryland moving specialists just found out The Department of Housing and Urban Development recently introduced a program that will provide interest-free home loans to help unemployed borrowers in 27 states, including Maryland, with their mortgage payments. The Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program and community partner NeighborWorks America will help people recover. HUD will provide $1 billion to implement this program. Eligible homeowners can qualify for up to $50,000 in interest-free loans and the money will help pay for mortgage payments for up to two years. This will help individuals who are at risk of home foreclosures due to unemployment, underemployment and medical conditions. The program is expected to help up to 30,000 distressed borrowers with an average of $35,000.
