Among more than 100 species of sea life that reside at Mote Aquarium, there are manatees, sharks and sea turtles that have been rescued from dangerous incidents and are now being cared for in the aquarium. Ca d’Zan Mansion – modeled after the Venetian-Gothic style homes found in Italy, this beautiful mansion has so much history to tell. Built by the Ringling Family, who made their fortune through famous American circus acts and art, the home was constructed between 1924 and 1926. The waterfront mansion is 36,000 square-feet and 5 stories tall.
