Saguaro National Park

Our Marana movers love visiting the Saguaro National Park, in southern Arizona. It is so large that it has two sections that are on either side of the city of Tucson. The national park is named after the saguaro cactus, the largest cactus in the USA and native only to this area. The one-of-a-kind saguaros can grow as tall as 70 feet and do not grow their arms out until they are over 100 years old. Hike through the nature trails at Saguaro National Park as you view the stunning silhouettes of these gorgeous cacti in the desert.

Mica Mountain

Next on our list of unique things to do in Tucson is visiting Mica Mountain. The 8,668 foot-peak mountain can be found in the Rincon Mountain District of Saguaro National Park. If you are up for the challenge, it takes roughly about 3 days to reach the top of Mica Mountain. The park offers other options for routes that are much shorter and still provide incredible scenery. Our Safford movers say that there is a lot of good backcountry camping in the Rincon Mountain District that can be accessed by either foot or horse.

Sabino Canyon Recreation Area

Another fun thing to do in Tucson is visiting the popular recreation area in Sabino Canyon. With miles of hiking trails that wander through the land, you are able to find unique plant life, deep canyons, and marvelous mountain ranges that come together to create the Sonoran Desert. The Sabino Canyon offers educational tours, trams, and a number of hiking trails to follow. Get lost in the backcountry of Santa Catalina and explore the beautiful natural wonders that surround the area.
